Delete your data

Last updated November 6, 2026. You can delete your PROMPT account and the personal data attached to it at any time. This page explains how, what happens next, and what we are legally required to keep.

1. Delete your account from the app

  1. 1. Open the PROMPT app and go to the Account tab.
  2. 2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  3. 3. Confirm. Your account is scheduled for deletion straight away — we never refuse or delay the request itself.

This works the same whether you signed up with an email address or through Apple, Google, or Facebook.

2. What happens, and when

Deleting starts a 30-day cancellation window. The app shows you the exact date your account and data are scheduled for permanent deletion, and you can cancel at any point before it — the window exists so an accidental tap is recoverable. If you do nothing, deletion proceeds on that date without any further action from you.

3. If you are a provider with unpaid fees

An outstanding connection-fee balance does not stop you requesting deletion — nothing does. It can delay the final purge: your account stays reachable while we can still collect, so that you keep the billing screen and inbox you need to settle it. The app tells you the balance and points you at Fees & billing to clear it. Once the balance is settled, or once it can no longer be collected automatically, the deletion you asked for completes.

4. What is deleted, and what we must keep

After the 30-day window we pseudonymize your login credentials, account metadata, and profile name, so the remaining data can no longer identify you. Booking and payment records are kept for seven years to meet financial record-keeping obligations, and are then permanently purged. This matches section 4 of our Privacy Policy.

5. If you cannot sign in

Email privacy@prompttechnologies.ca from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm the request and the date it completes. Use this route too if you no longer have the app installed, or if you signed in with a provider whose account you have since closed.
